” THE SURPRISING HABIT THAT MAKES YOU FAT”

Well it's that time again Mel Kiper's christmascheap jerseys from china also known as the NL Draft.  I have been very busy as of late so I have not done nearly the amount of "research" that I did last year on the prospects and following free agency, although I followed the Broncos and Jay Cutler which was about a conference's worth of free agency.  Anyway the draft order is set and the big day is only 4 days away and counting.  So here's what we could be seeing come this Saturday:

#1 Detroit Lions A new logo caps off there re-vamped
jerseys from china everything for 2008's worst team in the NFL.  Their GM announced that they are very close to a pre-draft signing much as the Dolphins did last year with Jake Long.  It's rumored to be Matthew Stafford (QB), Aaron Curry (LB), or Jason Smith (OT).  Any of which would be good, but I gotta' think they're leaning towards Stafford.  They could probably get Stafford at a lower pick, but that's what other teams are probably thinking so it's unlikely they will trade the top overall pick away.  But if there was one position that truly suffered for the Lions last season it would be the QB.  Stafford is the safest way to go and a good start at rebuilding their team.

#2 St. Louis Rams Lots of different
http://www.2012cheapnfljerseysoutlet.com options for the Rams.  They could use Mark Sanchez, but if they were to pursue him they might do what Cleveland did in 06' and try to cut back in after drafting a OT which is what I think they'll do here.  Jason Smith or Eugene Monroe is most likely to be picked here because success starts up front and Bulger isn't a bad QB, but I'm a little surprised he hasn't been traded within the past few seasons after being injured and playing medicore at times.  Give credit to the Rams for sticking with their guy.

#3 Kansas City Chiefs Aaron Curry is being toted as the best talent in this draft.  if the Chiefs keep the #3 pick it's likely they'll go for Curry, but I wouldn't be surprised if they go for an OT especially if the Rams go for Monroe they might want Jason Smith.  They drafted Branden Albert; a Guard; last year, but still need to rebuild their line to protect their new QB, Matt Cassell.

#4 Seattle Seahawks Eugene Monroe, Jason Smith, or Aaron Curry depending on who's been selected with the first 3 picks.  Also Mark Sanchez is a long shot to be picked by the Seahawks.  The Seahawks will be needing a replacement for Hasselbeck sooner then later and they may take a stab at Sanchez.

#5 Cleveland Browns A lot of options for the Browns here.  The rumors of Braylon Edwards being traded are still going around and even if he isn't traded don't you think they'd like a receiver who doesn't constantly drop catchable balls?  I'd think they might take a look at Michael Crabtree especially with the Donte Stallworth situation.  More likely however is the Browns addressing their defensive needs and going for Brian Orakpo who can play either DE or LB.

#6 Cincinnati Bengals People are saying that this is where Andre Smith will end up.  I'm not so sure the team who's arguably had more issues with players' character then any other team in the league will go for the player in the draft who's arguably had more character issues then anyone else.  So I'm going to say Smith does not go here, but they go for an offensive skills position guy either Michael Crabtree if he isn't already gone since the Chad Johnson trade rumors are still around or Chris Wells since their running game definately needs a boost.

#7 Oakland Raiders Now here's a team that will take you no matter what.  So if the Bengals decide not to take Andre Smith look for him to go here since the Raiders definately could use an upgrade on the O-Line.  Michael Crabtree or Jeremy Maclin (WR) are both options since the Raiders' receiving corps is terrible.  I would also not be surprised if they took Mark Sanchez.  I'm not convinced that they're happy with JaMarcus Russell.  He's one season away from being labeled a bust and they went after Jeff Garcia who I'm sure is not planning on riding the bench this season.

#8 Jacksonville Jaguars This is going to be a surprise team this season because of how good they were 2 seasons ago.  Before a couple of days ago it was likely that they'd go for a receiver since they don't have a mentionable one, but they just signed Torry Holt.  So I'm thinking they're going to be looking at an OT which means they might not stay at the #8 spot.  If Seattle is interested in Sanchez they could easily trade with Jacksonville so that they could get Sanchez in the 8 spot and the Jaguars could land Jason Smith or Eugene Monroe at the 4 spot.

#9 Green Bay Packers The Pack will most likely draft a Defensive Linemen since that's been there most notable weakspot.  BJ Raji, Tyson Jackson, or Brian Orakpo should the Browns not draft him will be the most likely draftee.  It's really a toss up since Raji is a run stopper and Jackson and Orakpo are both pass rushers.  I'm thinking they'll be wanting Raji since I think he's better talent wise plus the Packers rush defenser killed them last season.

#10 San Francisco 49ers The past few seasons they appear to be just a couple pieces away from greatness so who knows what will happen at the tenth pick.  Sanchez is a likely candidate if he's still around although a receiver or defender is also a possibility or they might just trade away the pick.  I'm going to say in order of likelihood they go for Sanchez, trade the pick away, or draft a receiver.  They don't have a franchise QB, but the Jets who were in the running but missed out on Jay Cutler could have their eyes on Sanchez and it's hard to imagine Sanchez falling much further, but stranger things have happened.

#11 Buffalo Bills With the sudden loss of Jason Peters to the Eagles a need for an OT is suddenly there.  They could use a defensive player, but these young big guys have been having a lot of success in recent years so look for them to draft Michael Oher an OT who can fill the void.

#12 Denver Broncos Their first of two picks which will most likely be a defensive players.  They set up a workout with Mark Sanchez, but could it be a sneaky McDaniels ploy to make teams think that they're interested in him?  McDaniels is a QB guy and if he wants a workout with a talented QB prospect the league is going to take notice.  I wouldn't be surprised if they traded up not to get Sanchez, but BJ Raji if the Packers are eyeing Raji.  The Broncos have a terrible defense so they can't pick wrong with either Raji or Tyson Jackson, but Kyle Orton will at least be OK under the guidance of McDaniels and the very talented Denver offense.  I will be shocked if they end up seeking out Sanchez.

#13 Washington Redskins Could be an OT if Oher is still available or could be a DL or LB.  Their defense isn't special so I think they're leaning towards a guy like Everette Brown who can play both DE and LB.

#14 New Orleans Saints They could go for Chris Wells or another RB, but I like their corps of RB's that they install in different scenarios.  They will benefit much more if they go for a DE or LB.  I'm thinking with both their starting DE's looking at a suspension a DE is most likely.

#15 Houston Texans They seem to have a very solid team and if they were in just about an other division other then the AFC South their record would show how good they really are.  Unfortunately they're stuck in the AFC South.  They have a good group of defenders like Mario Williams, DeMeco Ryans, Amobi Okoye, and Dunta Robinson.  So I think they'll be looking for secondary help since everyone in the AFC South is looking to stop Peyton Manning.  Malcolm Jenkins is a great talent and I see the Texans going after him.
