A year after leading Seattle in receptions with 65, Williams currently is eighth on the team this season with just 12 catches for 130 yards and a score.

Williams has missed two games this season with a concussion and a hamstring issue, but even when he's played, quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has not always looked his way.

"We need him to get some balls so that they have to defend him and unfortunately Mike didn't get much going," Carroll said. "That's not him, it's just the game. But yeah, we want those factors, ones that they have to deal with that helps us out. It just didn't. So we're always working to get that done, yeah."

--With the Seahawks running the ball well the last two games, and St. Louis allowing a league-worst 150.6 rushing yards a game, Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo understands he might see a heavy dose of  this weekend.

"You are very kind with the 'a little bit of a struggle,'" quipped Spagnuolo. "It hasn't been good. It's something that we take a lot of pride in. There are various amount of reasons and yet, we've had games where it's not an issue because our guys play like we all think we're capable of playing.

"Part of it has been good running backs. Part of it has been what you noticed that when you're behind games, and we've been behind in a lot of games, teams tend to run the ball a little bit more, so the numbers are higher. That has to be corrected."
